UNICEPTA, one of the world's leading providers of media, marketing and corporate intelligence, continues to expand with the acquisition on 16 November 2022 of the British company Marble Global.
“We are delighted that Marble Global is now a part of the UNICEPTA Group,” commented Jochen Freese, CEO UNICEPTA Group. “The team alongside Managing Director Tim Zecchin is a great fit for us: we are united in our belief that data-driven listening and the insights it provides are a valuable foundation for companies and organisations looking to contribute to addressing major global challenges.”
Founded in 1991, Marble is a leading digital intelligence consultancy in the UK. It supports governments, NGOs, institutions and companies with data-based insights for their strategic communication and positioning. To do this, the company analyses data from traditional, online and social media and derives relevant insights and recommendations for action. The content focus is based around ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) as well as current debates and megatrends. Clients include international companies and organizations in the UK and US, including Reckitt, the World Bank and Verizon.
Marble Global’s services include deep-dive reports on issues, companies, and brands, as well as interactive dashboards with engaging data visualisations, daily media briefings for the C-suite, and consulting – always with the goal of enabling companies to identify opportunities and risks, and make better decisions. The content focus is on ESG, which is becoming an increasingly important issue for companies when it comes to positioning and strategy.
“We help companies and organisations better understand how relevant debates and current issues are perceived by the public, especially in the context of ESG. With UNICEPTA, we have chosen a partner that stands for the same philosophy. At the same time, we benefit from UNICEPTA’s technological strength and can also support our customers with other innovative solutions such as AI-based corporate intelligence,” explained Tim Zecchin, Managing Director of Marble Global.
With the acquisition of Marble Global, UNICEPTA is expanding its presence, particularly in the UK. Already supporting UK companies and international organisations from London since 2019, UNICEPTA currently employs around 40 editors, analysts and support staff. The merger with Marble Global will add a further 25 staff.
“Only with the help of technology can the increasing flood of data be tamed in such a way that important business decisions can be made as a result. At the same time, understanding complex issues also requires human expertise and decades of experience when it comes to transforming the extract from millions of data sets into appropriate recommendations for action. We combine tech and talent like no other company in our industry and thus always guarantee our customers the best of both worlds,” explains Jochen Freese.
The transaction closed in mid-November 2022.
For UNICEPTA, Marble Global is already the third acquisition this year: since May 2022, Giance Technologies (now: UNICEPTA Corporate Intelligence) has been part of the UNICEPTA Group, followed by the Swiss company Adwired in September. As part of its global growth, UNICEPTA has also launched an office in Brazil and initial operations in France. 50 percent of the DAX40 companies and other global market leaders are part of UNICEPTA's customer portfolio. UNICEPTA's goal is to further expand both its service and customer structure.
